Welcome to Cafe Viola, a charming gem nestled at 1518 Tremont St, Duxbury, MA. This delightful cafe is the perfect blend of European charm and local warmth, inviting you to step away from the bustling world and indulge in a moment of culinary bliss. Known for its commitment to authenticity and quality, Cafe Viola serves up a charming array of dishes that will awaken your senses and satisfy your cravings.

As a café specializing in Italian-inspired cuisine, Cafe Viola has crafted a menu that speaks to the heart of traditional flavors while incorporating fresh, local ingredients. One of the standout offerings is their Uffizi Panini, featuring thinly sliced prosciutto paired with a rich pecorino spread, fresh tomatoes, and vibrant arugula. Customers rave about its delightful balance of flavors, with one patron, Xander, noting the “light citrus flavors” that beautifully accompany the dish. Another must-try is the renowned Roast Beef Signoria, which combines succulent roast beef with caramelized onions and a unique porcini spread, making each bite a burst of satisfaction.

For those looking for lighter fare, the salads are equally compelling. The Mediterranean Salad showcases a colorful medley of roasted vegetables, garbanzo beans, and kalamata olives, all drizzled with their housemade white wine vinegar and garlic dressing. It's a refreshing choice that doesn't skimp on flavor, as confirmed by repeat customers who rave about the perfectly dressed greens.

And if you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss out on the tiramisu options. The classic tiramisu, layered with velvety mascarpone, is an indulgence that will transport you straight to Italy. As Risa Teksten points out, their homemade pastries, including the indulgent chocolate and pistachio croissants, are mouthwatering delights worth savoring.

The atmosphere at Cafe Viola is another reason to visit. With a vibe reminiscent of a quaint Florentine café, the cozy decor and friendly staff create an inviting space that encourages you to linger a little longer. Emma Green, a new fan of the café, describes it as a “cute cafe in Florence,” where you can enjoy not just the food, but a warm sense of community.

Cafe Viola is not just about great food; it's about delivering an experience that leaves you feeling cherished and satisfied. Whether you choose to enjoy a light meal in-house or take it to go, each offering is a testament to the owner’s commitment to quality, echoing authentic Italian traditions. Very delicious Uffizi sandwich. Light citrus flavors pair well with the cheese in the salad. Bread is soft but still flavorful and has a fantastic crust to it. Location is a bit hidden but a fantastic find. I hope word of mouth and the high quality I received today keep this place afloat and successful in a spot that other brands have had issues with in the past.

I had a delicious sandwich here and side salad. Took a bit longer to be prepared than expected, but not too bad. The focaccia roll was perfect and the greens on both the sandwich and salad were perfectly dressed. Would definitely return!

In a world when every local business is getting bought out by franchise brands, it’s nice to see when the reverse happens. Delicious espresso-based and regular coffees and pastries that are mouth watering. We can’t wait to try their homemade lasagne and tiramisu. If it’s anything like their chocolate and pistachio croissants, we’ll love it. The wait time is completely timely and efficient.

Limited breakfast options but really delicious breakfast sandwiches. The bread is muahhh reminds me of Europe. Chai latte was also good not so sugary which is great.

The paninis here are incredibly delicious and authentic - from the fresh crunchy bread to ingredients like the pistachio spread (on the La Mortazza panini) which was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The owner is from Italy and you are going to get real Italian recipes coming to life here, not an “Italian sub” with processed ingredients as you’d get at an American sub shop. I’ll be coming back every week for a fresh authentic sandwich. I can’t tell you enough how amazing the pistachio spread was!

My new favorite spot! The sandwiches are the best I’ve ever had. The tomato soup tasted super fresh. I tried the pistachio croissant too which was also delicious. Really nice staff and owners. The vibe is cute, like a little cafe in Florence. I keep coming back!

This charming new café was a delightful discovery on our way to Duxbury Beach. We decided to try their takeout and ordered three sandwiches along with iced lattes. Our choices included the Caprese and the Vegetable Michelangelo. The sandwiches were outstanding — fresh, generously sized, and bursting with flavor, with a distinctly European taste and vibe. I especially loved the bread they used. Each sandwich came with a choice of chips or salad; we opted for the salad, which was wonderfully fresh and flavorful. The interior of the café is inviting and well designed, making it a place I’d happily linger in as well. We will definitely be returning — the menu is full of tempting options we can’t wait to try. I highly recommend this café! I can even see myself stopping by in the winter just to enjoy one of their delicious sandwiches.
